A naturalist and photographer, Cheryl Fischer has used her digital photo skills to create multiple images, much like a kaleidoscope, as repeat patterns similar to patterns seen in fabric making or quilting. Most of Cheryl's original photos are captured in Montgomery County, Texas. Some are from Pineridge, the name of her nature retreat and home place.

All of Cheryl's notecards are blank inside to allow the user to utilize the space for an "old fashioned" handwritten message. The front image is often kaleidoscoped or quilted or both. The original photo is shown on the back. Sometimes the images are straight forward, other times people look on the back to solve the puzzle of "what is it".

Spring Almost Gone.... Photography and Hobbies

PHOTO HOBBY
Ohhh... the span of time .... where has it gone?  .... but now I am back with my camera and creating new photo cards.  I have some great new cards with a little different twist using watercolor and pencil strokes for photo editing. The notecards are still being packaged in sets of five with the original photo on the back of the notecard and blank inside.  I call this one The Spring Fruit Tree Blossom.

I now have my notecards in two local shops, the UPS Store on Hwy 105, Montgomery, TX;  and The Compose Rose gifts and art shop in Montgomery on Butler Street.  Be sure to check them out and tell them I sent you.

MORE HOBBIES
I have also been out pickin' junk or treasures at local auctions and resale shops for some fine things to flip.  Here I have a card game I found called Skeeter with bugs on the cards vintage in the '60's.  I will post other items as I get the items cleaned up and photographed for you.

All in all, I am becoming quite the hobbyist.  What hobby do you enjoy?  I am thinking of making posts about the art work and re-purposed junk as part of my blog. Tell me what you'd like to see or share.  I want to start keeping it more up to date, so feel free to post/comment to keep it going.
