A naturalist and photographer, Cheryl Fischer has used her digital photo skills to create multiple images, much like a kaleidoscope, as repeat patterns similar to patterns seen in fabric making or quilting. Most of Cheryl's original photos are captured in Montgomery County, Texas. Some are from Pineridge, the name of her nature retreat and home place.

All of Cheryl's notecards are blank inside to allow the user to utilize the space for an "old fashioned" handwritten message. The front image is often kaleidoscoped or quilted or both. The original photo is shown on the back. Sometimes the images are straight forward, other times people look on the back to solve the puzzle of "what is it".

Sping is in the Air

I am working on a new set of Spring Flower Kaleidscope images for the notecard series. I love the spring when the daffodiles and snow drops are first to appear. Spring is here now in Montgomery, Texas, as the pear trees and red bud trees are in full bloom. Blackberries are also blooming. The Montgomery County Master Gardner Sale is coming on Sat. the 20th of March, so it's time to get tomato plants. You can find Kaledoscope of Nature notecards for sale at The UPS Store on Hwy 105 between April Sound and Walden and in Old Town Spring at Just for the Birds shop. I'll send out a new blog when the Spring Flower Series is available. ..... Cheryl
