A naturalist and photographer, Cheryl Fischer has used her digital photo skills to create multiple images, much like a kaleidoscope, as repeat patterns similar to patterns seen in fabric making or quilting. Most of Cheryl's original photos are captured in Montgomery County, Texas. Some are from Pineridge, the name of her nature retreat and home place.

All of Cheryl's notecards are blank inside to allow the user to utilize the space for an "old fashioned" handwritten message. The front image is often kaleidoscoped or quilted or both. The original photo is shown on the back. Sometimes the images are straight forward, other times people look on the back to solve the puzzle of "what is it".

Fall Series

In this series, kaleidoscoped images of things found in nature bring the colors of fall to life. Cheryl has found a way to beautifully capture the essence of fall in images that go beyond the typical theme of fall leaves.

The images in this gallery show both the front and back (which shows the original photo) of the notecard. Click on one the thumbnails below to see a larger view. Then, to see the next image, just move your mouse to the right side of the picture until the word "next" appears and then click.
